The Bachelor of Agriculture (AGBSC) is an undergraduate program aimed at providing students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in various aspects of agriculture, including crop production, animal husbandry, agricultural economics, agricultural engineering, and sustainable farming practices.

15% of Seats in state agricultural universities (SAUs)

Seats in ICAR-recognized private universities

Open to students from all over India

Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for ICAR

Counselling organized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)


  • State Level Counselling - by State Agricultural Universities or Authorities

Covers : 

85% of government college seats

100% of seats in state quota private colleges

Domicile rules apply for free and subsidized seats

Each state may conduct its own entrance exam (e.g., KEAM, OUAT, PAT, etc.)

Includes allotment of Management and NRI quota seats in some states (e.g. , Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan)
